Question: OCULUS LINK CABLE 5m |USB-A| till OCULUS QUEST 1/2

Question about signal quality:

Hello.
I would like to buy this cable, but I have some doubts. Is it enough to use the Oculus Rift app on the Oculus Quest goggles, or do I still need a cable with an amplifier? I noticed that there are sets sold on Amazon. What I don't know is whether they are primarily about extending the cable or amplifying the signal.
And if the cable can work on its own - have you tested how the 3m/5m length affects the signal strength?

Very good questions. There are people who are hesitant, but it works the same way as the original cable, or even better. It is important that the motherboard provides enough power through the cable, in 1-2% of cases there can sometimes be small problems, and then you just need to connect the cable under the active hub.
The cables you are talking about are also sold together with a second cable that recreates the signal. This cable can then be extended to provide a better signal. In the future we will have cables up to 8 metres long with an amplified and improved signal with a chip already in the cable, but this is still in production.
We highly recommend our cable and if there is a problem, we offer a free return, but again, we are there to help and we are confident that it will work 100% as intended. If your motherboard doesn't supply power, you can always buy an active HUB.
Our 5 metre cable gives the same result as a 3 metre cable in the results, so the limitation is not in the cable but in the hardware.
